Born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Doug attended UPEI where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration before moving to Calgary where he was employed with Shell Canada and Fluor Canada Resources Limited.

 

Doug and his family eventually made the decision to return to the Maritimes, and in 1986, Doug received his law degree from U.N.B. Since that time, Doug has been involved in the general practice of law in Halifax.

 

Doug's preferred areas of practice include Real Estate, Wills and Estates, Personal Injury, Family and Corporate law. As a general practioner, Doug has appeared in various levels of Courts throughout the Province of Nova Scotia on behalf of his clients.

 

In his off time, Doug enjoys playing golf, attending Moosehead games, and attending his grandchildren's hockey and soccer games when time permits.
